Q. What kind of hair colour is used in Maurice Meade salons?

A: All Maurice Meade hair salons use L’Oreal Professionnel colour to produce high quality results, while preserving the condition of your hair.

Q: I want to use a bond multiplying product that will protect my hair while I have it coloured. What is available at Maurice Meade?

A: Protecting and maintaining healthy hair during the colouring process is one of our top priorities. Using L’Oreal Professionnel Smartbond is standard during all Maurice Meade colour services, and we highly recommend it for maintaining strong, healthy and shiny hair.

Smartbond is an additive that your colourist mixes in to your colour or pre-lightener to strengthen your hair and protect it from damage – think of it as hair insurance!

Q: Does Maurice Meade offer hair extensions?

A: Yes! Hair extensions are a great option for adding both length and volume to your hair. We use Avani, WASP or Amore tape or bead extensions, which are 100% human hair extensions. After a thorough consultation, your stylist will order the right extensions to suit your hair type, then fit, cut and style them to create your desired look.

Q: I have curly hair, what is the best kind of haircut for me?

A: Just like with other hair types, there are specific techniques for cutting curly hair to make it fall just right. Our team has several Maurice Meade stylists who specialise in styling curly hair, and will be able to personalise a cut to suit your hair thickness and desired length.

Q: What retail hair care products are stocked at Maurice Meade?

A: We stock a wide variety of luxury products in our salons, from Kerastase and L’Oreal Professionnel, to Shu Uemura Art of Hair and Evo Hair.

Q: How do I get a professionally recommended haircare routine?

A: Maurice Meade staff are trained to the highest level by Kerastase Paris in order to provide a prescribed, completely personalised home hair care routine using the latest diagnostic technology. There is a Kerastase shampoo, conditioner and/or masque to suit any hair or scalp concern you may have.

Q: Can I receive a quote for hair colouring by phone or e-mail?

A: While a rough price estimate can be provided over the phone or by e-mail, for an accurate quote we highly recommend visiting a salon for a free consultation. This will allow one of our expert colourists to assess your hair colour, talk through options to achieve your desired look and advise on costs.

Q: My hair is dark and I want to go blonde. Is this possible?

A: Going from dark to light will largely depend on your colour history and the condition of your hair – and it will definitely take time! This type of change can often take a few appointments spaced over a number of months to ensure your hair stays as strong and healthy as possible during the process.
